The Province of Nova Scotia licenses all tourist accommodations and inspects them to ensure each property continues to meet provincial safety standards. We are members of the new Nova Scotia Quality Standards Program which we believe respects the true spirit of B & B accommodations.

We do not subscribe to Canada Select because it operates from a checklist of amenities based on those typically provided by hotels and inns. Critical for high star ratings are TVs, telephones and coffee-making facilities in each guest room.

We believe that those seeking a B & B experience are seeking an alternative to less personal hotels and inns. We provide a relaxing guest lounge with digital TV. We have a guest kitchenette, complete with sink, refrigerator and microwave and a wide-range of beverages which far surpasses in-bedroom facilities but which would not count in Canada Select terms. We provide high-speed wireless Internet connectivity and have a PC available exclusively for guest use.
